01
Program status
The Market Monolith operator-card program is a future, inactive capability. This policy documents the Platform rules we intend to apply if HotSwop, Inc., Stripe, and the issuing bank approve a program. Nothing on this page promises eligibility, availability, a launch date, a card, funding, credit, reimbursement, or a particular vendor.
HotSwop expects any pilot to be United States commercial-use only, assignment-bound, prefunded, and tightly controlled. The final program, bank, network, limits, supported purchases, and agreements may differ and will be disclosed before activation.
02
Separate required agreements
Accepting Market Monolith’s public Terms or Operator Agreement is not enough to activate a card. Before activation, an operator must separately receive and accept the then-current agreements and disclosures required by Stripe and the issuing bank.
Depending on the approved program, those documents may include the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, Stripe Issuing Accountholder Terms, bank-specific Issuing terms, E-Sign consent, state financing disclosures, and individual Authorized User or cardholder terms. They will be presented without being merged into or modified by this policy, remain available to the cardholder, and have their acceptance recorded before activation.
If this policy conflicts with mandatory bank, Stripe, card-network, or law requirements, those requirements control for the card program. Market Monolith may impose narrower business-use rules that do not alter required provider rights.
03
Eligibility and card ownership
Card access may require an active operator account, accepted work, an approved connected account, identity and business verification, screening, a supported address and jurisdiction, training, tax information, and continued compliance. Stripe and the issuing bank make required eligibility and compliance decisions.
A physical or virtual card remains the property of the issuer and is provided for limited authorized use. It is not a bank account, debit card linked to operator earnings, payroll card, consumer credit card, gift card, benefit, or promise of compensation. It may be canceled, replaced, frozen, or recalled.
04
Approved business use
A card may be used only for the exact Market Monolith assignment, approved merchant or category, item or service, amount, geography, time window, and purchase method displayed in the Platform. Examples may include approved direct-mail postage, printed materials, door hangers, signage, samples, or other campaign inputs.
Approval for one purchase does not authorize a substitute, higher quantity, different vendor, later reuse, recurring charge, tip, cash equivalent, or purchase for another opportunity. If a merchant cannot fulfill the approved order exactly, request a revised authorization before paying.
05
Prohibited use
- Personal, family, household, travel, entertainment, meal, wage, payroll, or payout use.
- Cash withdrawals, cash back, gift cards, stored value, money orders, peer-to-peer transfers, crypto assets, gambling, or financial products.
- Splitting transactions to avoid a limit, using a false merchant description, or routing an approved purchase through another seller.
- Purchases supporting a prohibited business or violating the Acceptable Use Policy.
- Sharing card details, allowing another person to use the card, adding it to an unauthorized wallet, or storing it with an unapproved merchant.
- Keeping a refund, rebate, loyalty value, promotional item, or credit for personal benefit.
06
Controls and authorizations
Cards may use merchant-category, merchant, country, card-presence, amount, frequency, time, geography, and assignment controls. HotSwop may approve or decline transactions in real time. Controls can be imperfect: merchant coding, delayed clearing, tips, fees, partial capture, or overcapture may cause a different amount or outcome than expected.
A merchant authorization is not final acceptance of an expense. A transaction may be reversed, adjusted, investigated, or treated as unauthorized under the program rules. Insufficient program funds, inactive status, expired work, provider risk controls, or technical timeout can cause a decline.
07
Receipts and unused value
Upload a complete, legible itemized receipt and any required order confirmation promptly after purchase. Records must show merchant, date, items, quantities, taxes, total, and disposition. Do not alter receipts or combine personal and approved items.
Unused materials, canceled orders, partial fulfillment, credits, substitutions, lost materials, and discrepancies must be reported. Materials purchased with program funds belong to HotSwop, the customer, or the party identified in the opportunity—not the operator—unless written instructions say otherwise.
08
Refunds and returns
Merchant refunds must return to the original card or designated program balance. Do not accept cash, a personal card refund, gift card, store credit held for personal use, or replacement goods outside the approved assignment. Report the refund and preserve return documentation.
A refund may post after a card is frozen or closed and may not automatically link to the original purchase. HotSwop may reconcile it to the assignment. Card refunds do not become operator earnings or withdrawable Platform credits.
09
Security and lost cards
Protect the card, device, PIN, one-time codes, and credentials. Do not photograph or transmit card details outside an approved secure interface. Report a lost, stolen, compromised, or misdirected card immediately through the Platform or support channel and freeze it when that control is available.
Review transactions promptly and report anything you do not recognize. Do not attempt to “test” a card after suspected compromise. HotSwop, Stripe, or the issuer may replace or cancel a card and investigate relevant account, device, merchant, and transaction records.
10
Disputes and support
Report declined transactions, unauthorized use, merchant errors, missing refunds, lost cards, and complaints promptly to the support method provided with the program. Network disputes generally become available only after capture, have deadlines, may require evidence, can take substantial time, and are not guaranteed.
Any connected accountholder rights to submit eligible fraud disputes will be preserved as required by Stripe and the issuer. Operators must cooperate with investigation and must not file knowingly false disputes. HotSwop will maintain required card support and complaint procedures before launch.
11
Data and monitoring
Card onboarding and use may involve identity, business, tax, address, date of birth, screening, card, merchant, transaction, receipt, device, fraud, dispute, complaint, and fulfillment data. HotSwop will share information with Stripe, the issuer, card network, identity and fraud providers, card manufacturers, merchants, and service providers as needed for the program.
Program personal information will be used for card operations, fraud and loss prevention, support, legal and network compliance, and related assignment records—not unrelated advertising. Additional detail appears in the Privacy Policy and required provider notices.
12
Suspension and changes
HotSwop, Stripe, or the issuer may decline a transaction or freeze, limit, replace, or close a card for expired work, misuse, missing receipts, prohibited activity, risk, verification, insufficient funding, law, provider rules, or program change. Operator reimbursement or indemnity does not limit amounts HotSwop may owe Stripe or the issuer.
The final program policy will be presented before launch and may change prospectively. Questions about this future policy may be sent to hello@marketmonolith.com. Do not submit card or identity details by ordinary email.
